Slip leads

I'm sorry to ask silly questions, but I've never seen one of these before. Do you adjust the size with the little leather piece? Are these good for just walking your dogs? They look SO MUCH EASIER than the harnesses I use.

No problem! They aren't silly at all! :smile2:

Yes, you can adjust how much bigger the collar will get by placing the leather piece as a sort of stopper.

My recommendation would be to not use this as a regular leash. I don't like how tight the collar can get if the dog pulls. If you wanted an "all in one" I would recommend a slip leash with a martingale, that way it can't completely tighten against the dog's neck.

Something like this: http://www.dogids.com/dogwalker.html or what Silaria posted. Kollars by Kathryn also makes custom made martingale slip leashes. You can choose the colors of the collar and the fleece.

Thanks Ashley! Such great information. I'm going to look at the choices and get three of the martingale slip leashes. I like this idea so much better than the harnesses. Cooper won't stand still for 2 seconds he soooo excited about going for a walk!

The one I am getting is flat and has metal parts to keep it where you want it around the neck. Now the hard part is picking a design. I think the leash I am looking at is more of a leash with a martingale all in one.
