Sometimes it seems too much! Until....

Ah, SheltieMom

I'm so sorry for the awful time you've been having of late. It is obviously very worrisome for you - especially, the not knowing. So yes, it is so true that these angels have a way of helping us put life into perspective and take one moment, one day at a time, and try to make it the better than the one before.

I am in total agreement

You will be in my Prayers and thoughts during this most difficult weekend. give yourself the time to mourn but Please keep the Great Memories of your lovely Daughter, Michelle and your Sheltie Angel, Timber. And as Ann said Keep Bacca close and give him lots of hugs. Do something you know She loved. God be with you !!

As it's getting closer to Christmas, I find myself becoming quite sad as it is the first Xmas without Michelle and Timber.

As I was out Christmas shopping this week, I couldn't help noticing how much shorter my list was. I would walk by stores that I would normally go in to buy something special for Michelle. I kept seeing stuff that I knew she would love, but of course, there was no reason to buy.

So instead I will count my blessings for those who are still with me. My parents, my son, my "weekend spouse, David" and of course, Bacca. And hopefully my late Xmas present to myself...Ginnie Mae or Indy!

Merry Christmas everyone! Hold your loved ones close. May the spirt of love and joy be with you over this blessed holiday season.

Merry Christmas BarbV. Chinook, Maia and I all send you warm wishes. This must be a very hard time for you. I cannot begin to imagine. You have many friends here and I am sure we are all thinking and sending you our love and prayers.

It's been a full year now.....

Tomorrow is the first year anniversary of my daughter's death, Michelle. She was 19.

Tomorrow, my son Ryan, my ex-husband and I will go visit the cemetary where we buried Michelle's ashes - along with my forever pup, Timber (who died just two short months later) and my two cats (who died a few years before). We'll hold hands and then do something together. I don't know what yet.

I'm sad, but I'm ok. God has her in his keeping, but I have her in my heart always and I don't really need an anniversary to remember her. I do everyday.

Losing Michelle and Timber so close together almost broke me.

But bringing Bacca home in June went a long way in helping me through the last year. And this forum has been wonderful in helping me deal with the Bacca issues, and also giving me something or someone else to focus on - instead of myself. .

Thanks everyone, for your caring and support. It's been lovely meeting you all here!

Barb, I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter and Timber. I'm can not imagine what you have been through. But I do know that God has a reason for everything that does happen, even if we do not understand it. (((hugs)))

Our thoughts will be with you, Barb. I cannot imagine what it's like losing a child. and then Timber, such a short time after. When you come home, hug your pups close. They'll cuddle and comfort you and it will help. God bless you.

I'm so sorry for your loss Barb.
Take the day to pull up and breathe in all of your happy memories of your daughter Michelle and Timber. Sit down with Bacca and Indy in your lap and tell them as many of the stories as you like.

Shelties are good listeners.

We love you! Big hugs from Granite Janet, Alan, Russell, Emma and her clan, Indy, Figaro, and Sasha. (The cats and the fish are rather stand-offish at this moment and have opted out of the love fest)

I am sorry for your loss too Barb. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow. I cannot imagine the loss. You have come such a long way. Your daughter Michelle and Timber are watching over you. God has them and you in his arms.
