Southern Sheltie Gathering Highlights

Lovely pictures.

I going to have to come down there some year. Ember was mumbling something about there being no blues there and she needs to represent.:wink2:

Of course, I would add another sable to the mix too. But Justice would be so confused as he rarely sees another sable except for Pike(who is actually sable merle). He thinks other shelties are all black and blue. :smile2:

Poor Earnhardt was grumbling since he could not run good with his hurt paw

We are home. I pulled the motorhome in the backyard then closed the gate and let Sca out. Yep first thing he had to do his business, been holding it since we left your house

Awesome you are home. And glad you got there ok. Poor Sca,he must have been about to bust!
Give him a huge hug,he was so awesome, well behaved.FYI...I'll open a bottle of wine soon ok,and give you a verdict.I was reading labels, and not sure on which one to open first.Thank you for bringing them.

Still waiting to hear how Denise is doing on her travel home.I hope to hear from her later tonite.
Get some rest Mr. Sca ok.

Earnhardt just got his leg cleaned & re-wrapped.It is looking better, but still a long road yet till it is healed.

A great time was had by all! We finally rolled in home at midnight. Our 4 shelties were completely zonked for the majority of the trip home. Russ drove the last leg of the journey and I sat in the backseat with all 4. I had to have him crank up some AC because 4 sleeping shelties really throw off some serious heat!

My sheep is still unpacking the mobile house so I can jump on the computer.

Sca's review:
I counted 17 fellow Shelties and Mr Earnhardt. And it is award time
Boomer: Nice to run with you dude hopefully you can make it again next year
Cran: dude you are the fastest now
Callie: Senior dog. How could anyone even consider a no to her.
Dixie: I see you have settled in and are keep Cran in line nicely
Duncan: Dude you need to bark more. When you coasted up at first I thought you were a haint and it scared the tar out of me. Good guy but more running and barking and you will blend with the herd :biggrin2:
Emma: Ms patroller. Lots of fun but you need to quit blaming us for that car getting away. Lots of fun meeting you though and next year we can race more.
Gracie: Runner up senior dog. While Ms Callie is the queen you just feel that this charming lady has cookies baking. Oh and what a begger! she showed me some moves I plan on using in the future.
Jasper/Trapp: I used to not tell you apart and now Jasper is a totally different color. Still can tell y'all are kin though.
Mia: WOW such an adventurer. With all the challenges you were sniffing and exploring everyone.
Newton: biggest Sheltie. He sure didn't look it but Mr Newton assured me he is 30" tall.
Sasha: Nice to see you again m'am the coat was looking great this year
Sky: Most improved. You were hiding a lot at first but near the end I saw you go shoulder to shoulder with the horde AND get the ball.
Snap: A pleasure as always Mr Snap though we need more running next year.
True: Nice to meet you and next time we can hang out more
Zoey: Smallest. We should have gotten some Sable and mini-me pictures. Oh and tell your mom she needs to make me a saddle and I can cruise you so you don't have to be held as much.

Oops got to sign off and make my sheep through my frisbee

Ain't that the truth though....Newton with the BIG attitude in the little package.

Sca, you forgot your award for "Most Mellow Fellow"

Zoey is interested in the idea of riding.

Thank you for sharing all the pictures. It looks like it was a lot of fun. Maybe we will be able to make it one of these years.

I love every single picture. You all look great -- and did those Shelties have fun! Thanks to everyone for posting pictures! :biggrin2:

I loved those pics of Mia in Katherines lap, she looked so content and Callie catching some Z's is so sweet. Zoey is really getting her coat and Newton sure does have a good coat. They all look just super. Sca looks like he is leader of the pack.
Cranberry is lovely with that sable merle coat...but some one needs to get a blue one. LOL

Oh and the reason everyone was amazed at a stay:

Everyone was lining up and I thought they were going for an all dog picture. So I line Sca up and tell him to stay. It then becomes clear that it is people and dogs. Everyone is telling me there no way he will stay in all this. I tell them yep he will (he learned in the chaos of flyball class after all). Of course on the first attempt he had to make me look bad before all the pictures everyone else posted so far.
