Spirit Joy

Here's a little video montage of some of Spirit's agility training sessions. For only 14 months old, I think she's doing great! And thrown in for fun are a few of her blooper moments. Have to keep in mind that she really is still a baby dog :-) And I am clearly a new handler and have a long way to go with my handling skills!!!!!

You guys look great, Cara! How long ago did you start training? Loved the video.

that is cool. it's always nice when you get a measurement that you are happy with. I plan to get Destin measured in Feb:fl
there will be 2 VMOs at one of our upcoming trials so it will be nice to knock it out in one weekend:smile2:

Yes, I was hoping she was either under 11" or over 12", so finding out that she's 12 1/4" made me happy.

Good luck with Destin! Is he borderline between heights or are you pretty sure of his jump height at this point?

Thanks! My friend put it together for us. I hadn't really watched many videos of Spirit, so it was really cool for me to watch her and see (ok, here's a mommy's brag) just how amazing she is. I was actually surprised at how smooth and graceful she is. And I loved seeing how happy she looks while she's doing agility. She clearly loves it.

Spirit started foundation agility at about 5 months of age, and she just turned 15 months old this weekend, so it's been about 10 months. She's actually doing the teeter by herself now. Usually ;-)

I so enjoyed watching your video :biggrin2: Of course I loved the seesaw clip, what a darling :biggrin2: And isn't she pretty too! (We don't see many shelties with those markings over here and I have to say she is really striking!) It looks like it's coming together very well indeed, you must be very pleased with her progress and most importantly of all the two of you look like you're having so much fun! Looking forward to seeing lots more videos please!

Thank you :-) She actually has very unusual coloring for here too - I had never seen another color headed white sheltie until I met her litter. There were 3 puppies with similar markings in her litter, and she was the only female.

The teeter clip is still making me laugh a month later. I just love following her thought process, and her absolute confidence that she has done the right thing and she will wait patiently for her treat :-) We really need to completely wean her off this Cheez Whiz.

And yes, I have to say that I'm incredibly proud of her. She's just an awesome puppy, and agility is our favorite thing to do in the whole world!!!!! I just got really, really lucky that she loves it as much as I do:-)

his temp card height is 13.75" so he's jumping 12"
but yes, he's so close to 14 that I have concerns.....
