Straight or folded ears?

Daisy ears are folded right now, do you think that her ears will pop up if I do not glue it?

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Ahem. Sorry. :eek2:

Here is a picture of Mr. Smudge as a cute puppy with tipped ears. Then there is a picture of Mr. Smudge as an adult with prick ears.

He looks like a disgruntled elf. Just in time for the holidays.

What type of glue should I use. I saw pictures of Daisy's parents and the both have pricked ears. I don't want Daisy to have pricked ears. I saw some of those brand you guys suggest and they say on the bottle cement glue? Is that right?

How would you glue the ears? Just put some glue on the fur and press it against the fur right below the ears?

It's not cement glue. You're supposed to use sewing glue.

I could never get the glue to stick, so I used Japanese tape. With Japanese tape, you just have to fold it, so it's double sided. Also, use a little rubbing alcohol to clean the ear, wait a 15 minutes for it to dry and then apply the tape.

here's a great video demonstration on how to brace and tip ears with Japanese tape:

If you plan on bracing ears (so they stay on top of her head), then follow all the steps of the video. If you just want to tip, then do the last step.

I bought Super Bond glue at Sally Beauty for hair extensions to use on Maggie's ears. I finally got them glued perfectly and with one fierce waggle, she undid everything I did.

They are still floppy for now, I think I'm just going to leave them alone. Que sera, sera!

NO not cement glue, you want to be able to remove the glue with out damaging either their fur or their skin. Ive used Fabric glue and Japanese tape, I prefer the tape as its easier to work with and the results are wonderful.

However your girls ears may not no matter what you use tip because of both parents having prick ears, if her ear leather is too thick it most likely wont work.

OMG!!! Thanks for the video, this looks so much easier than using glue. Now, where do I buy the japanese ear tape from? Can i use those medical tapes? Its looks the same from what I see in the pictures and they are pretty sticky.
