Strange quirks your shelties have

Lexi does that thing where she rolls over and rubs her face on the ground. She does it when she wakes up in the morning and when she's excited. It's very silly.

Lexi also insists on making one lap around the table before we serve her her dinner (who knows why?!)

Bella does both these things.. she walks very slowly around the table and sneaks up on her bowl

Bella has to sass every time one of us sneezes

she also wants to shower with me every day, I have to barely open the shower door and slide in like you do when someone parks too close to your car...then she fusses at me for a second then parks right outside the door. I have to make her move so i can get out.. then when i open the door she sasses one last time. She also wants her coat blown when i dry my hair and she will sass till i do it then she is good to go

I tell her all the time she is my girly girl also after shower then lotion, she preceeds to lick all the lotion off my legs as quick as i can put it on.... and guess what??? now Dodger is licking lotion too..... that can't be good for them LOL

Bella every morning without fail rolls over for her belly rubs and if you try to pick her up before she gets enough she becomes dead weight and will not let you pick her up till she has had enough.

Dodger does his silent bark. He will let out a single bark and then you can almost time him several seconds then a bark about three or four times and then he does the silent bark.. sounds like he is saying 'hop" as he pops his teeth.. I can look at him sometimes and say hop and he will do it.

Oh man, Ember has too many to list in fact, I don't even notice most of them any more because she is too weird.

Here are some of many: every night and I mean every night, she runs and jumps on the bed waiting for me then as I get into bed she attacks me playful though the covers-growling, pawing and pouncing until I say enough and then she lays down and doesn't move until morning. Then if I don't make the bed immediately , she jumps into my space when I get up and rolls around on my pillows.

She rolls on shoes and sticks her face in the holes, any shoes stinkier the better. She also plays with shoe laces and unties them.

When I put her in her room to leave for work, she barks at me in a very ticked off voice, every time.

When I take off her leash for obedience or agility if she is sitting , she stands up and shakes her mane straight. She will not stay sitting, no matters what I do until she straightens her hair.:smile2:

She humps the cat and herds him around the house.

She barks at the washer when it goes into the spin cycle(every time).

She doesn't like people petting her on the side(no one not even me)

She will not play with toys, if the other dogs playing gets to loud she will go sit in the corner.

Wen she is riding in the car, she starts barking as I park. Doesn't matter where I am. She sneezes when excited . She lays down with her hindlegs in a frog position, flat on her belly(almost everytime) when she lays down. I could go on and on.

Diva only quirk is she grunts and mumbles when you pet her. Justice spins and bounces off the stove on the way outside (almost everytime) He can not walk by the side of the stove when he walks past it. He also waves during his sit stay.

Lexi does both of these things!

Bentley will lick water off my legs (from the shower) but doesn't seem interested in lotion. I have to put lotion on and put my pants on as fast as I can or Lexi licks it all off!

Lets see where to start,

If Sandy really likes a toy he will fall on top of it and roll over it with it under his neck. He will also do this with any small object when he is bored.

He also tosses toys in the air and catches them, and pounces and then tosses it right into your lap. Cute overload every time.

He crawls on his belly when playing (it's hilarious).

If he hears the shower stop he goes to the bathroom door and waits for you to come out; then he follows you and licks the back of your knees.

He also loves handcream and acts as if you've put it on as a treat for him to lick off.

He also licks wet hair.

He is fascinated by make up and the hair dryer.

If you ignore him when he wants to play he plays by himself, tossing and rolling the ball around and pouncing on it.

He will not pee on walks. Ever. He only pees in the backyard and that is it. during road trips this is very frustrating as he has plenty of opportunity but holds it until we get home, poor guy. He doesn't understand he's allowed to pee outside in general.

he stands on the couch to look out the window and makes soft gruff growls or muted barks at people who walk by (its adorable).

If at any time you are not paying enough attention he puts his head right in your lap.

Sometimes he watches TV, especially nature shows or anything with dog or animal noises. He goes up close to stare at it and sometimes sniffs it.

He also quietly watches birds, sitting pretty with rapt attention.

I've given up on wearing body or hand lotion....the boys just lick it off as quickly as I put it on.

I forgot one of Bacca's cutest ploys....when she wants attention, he'll poke his nose repeatedly at your leg. Poke, poke...stand back...make a scooby doo kind of sound...poke, poke, poke....stand back looking even more earnest...poke, poke, poke.

I have been laughing my head off at this thread -- I think Dr. Mac's is my favorite!

When we get into bed, Layla has to hump my leg every night -- just a little. It's really more of a joke to her -- "Ha ha, Mom, I got you!" :rolleyes2:

Beckon is my nibbler. He just walks over and starts nibbling on your arm, up your back...

Bitsy Boodle -- well, it's the ball. All ball all the time. Stare at it long enough, Boods, yeah, it'll levitate.

Annie Laurie will curl up with you on the bed, then jump down. She doesn't really want down. She wants you to get out of bed, go over to her, and invite her back. "Do you really want me?"
