Strange,sometimes agressive,behavior with Mia

Sca the moose has been the cause of all my trash cans having lids. The boy can find every qtip in a garbage can in one breadth :eek2: Sometimes his extra size is a bad thing :gaah

my bathroom trashcan is on the counter, kitchen trash in the second sink and taken out every time I leave the house. He can counter surf and get it :(

when i move and have more room I will have to try the lidded cans.

Wow! I am jsut reading this whole thread now and what an incredible series of events! And I am so happy to hear that Mia is back to her sweet self and the fix ws an easy one!! :)

Well thank you. Mia went yesterday for a check up. Her blood work is all good Dr.Mac said. There is nothing he see's that is causing him to think an imbalance of any thing.

He did also at our request, sedate her a tad,to get a good ex-ray on that leg of hers. She came to us with a leg that was out of a splint from a broken leg,.She was not weight bearing when she came home on that leg.

He confirmed to us,it was a very poor set of the splint. There is a visible bulge at the break site, and one can feel it as well.

Her limp, has been much more noticeable. Unfortuneately a fair amount of artheritis has developed.
He did not recommend a re-break of the leg,and at this point I do not want to have that done either. He said it would not mend correctly, there was a bit of splintering he noticed.

He felt she was doing well, and was pleased on her weight loss. He told me to quit messing with food...again he reminded me...regulate,check often, and readjust if needed. Leave them on the high quality food.

So glad Mia's check-up went well... apart from the news about the poorly set break, that is. What a shame. Poor little Mia. Glad to hear she's back to feeling confident in her home again though!

I definitely agree with your vet on the food issue. If your pups thrive on the good stuff, it's better to feed a lesser quantity of a greater quality kibble rather than feed a greater quantity of lesser quality.

How are they liking the Acana?

Oh yes, and as for the trash... we have lids on the trash and recycling cans in the kitchen, and the bathroom cans we put on top of the tanks of the toilets. It's always the first thing I do when we bring Lerwick to visit people, too. Like Sca, he can hunt out those Qtips and lead you on a merry chase all through the house to get them back.

They are loving the Acana!

And Oreo likes it to,so I ordered feline formula for him. I can't keep him out of the food bin when the lid is open!
Mia is doing great and back to her old self,so we are happy & doing dances!
