Strange,sometimes agressive,behavior with Mia

mmm.. She may have gotten a little more territorial after feeling hungry while on the diet food. Unless she is still a bit hungry with the ration she is getting now.

How quickly did she loose the 3 lbs? Maybe you can try giving her a bit more and see how it affects her behavior while also checking that her weight continues to drop to reach her healthy weight.

Just out of curiosity.. how tall is she and how much does she currently weigh?

I just weighed & measured her. She is 23# & 14" tall. She has lost the 3# since July 17th.
 
About 20 minutes ago,she had another outburst. She was walking here in living room,and the boys were just milling about,not really near her,and she snapped at them. Trying desperately to get her mouth close.Of course they scadaddled out of her way to avoid her.
Brian jumped out of his seat,he was shocked. Will be talking to our vet this week,and will get her in ASAP for tests.
now I am worried.
 
Oh, poor little Mia. I hope the vet is able to figure out what is going on. It certainly sounds like something is out of the ordinary. Keep us posted with her progress.
 
I was thinking it may be food related or lack of food I mean. I get ornery when on a diet or hungry. I am hoping this is all it is. I will be keeping her in my thoughts and prayers.
 
First thought is pain, second is could she be protective over Oreo? Is he around when this happens? Third thought did this start when the other Rescue cat was in the house? Maybe sensing his aggression sparked hers. I know they were kept seperate but she still may have picked up on it.
 
Check her thyroid do a panel not just a T4. Changes in aggression levels can be one of the first signs. I have seen enough hypothyroid dogs that can lose weight that I wouldn't rule it out.

Hope you can figure out what is going on with MIA. Also 2 yrs old is around the time of social maturity. Diva became a little B around 2 yrs. Throwing her weight around alot with the other dogs until she found her place in the pack.
