Strange,sometimes agressive,behavior with Mia

I will for sure have this done. I have been a blubbering fool today,every time I think about her. Not good...when I started a new job today. Of course reading online did not st my mind at ease either. Its full of the what if's..and the bad,terrible stories of blind or deaf dogs,just snapping & going off the deep end.

Just bear with me,it just is really hard. We love her so so much. Trapp needs a dental,Ernie needs checking up on. Going to re-evalute and do some flea markets,to come up with extra funds.
Mia will be dealt with first.

Try to avoid making supposition, making yourself worry more is not going to help anyone, it will only drain you of your energy. Keep yourself busy by making a list of things to ask the vet and then tell yourself, allright, I've written the possibilities down now I need to let them out of my mind for now. You are dealing with the best ressources by taking her to the vet to find out what's wrong. Stay strong. :hugs You are the best furmom Mia could have :yes:.

I couldn't have said it better. You are a wonderful furmom to Mia (and to all of your little ones!), and you're doing the very best you can. Sometimes Google gets the best of us; it's so easy to find so much information, but it just adds to the anxiety. This is hard, but you're doing your best to get through it.

I'd be remiss if I didn't say this, too - congratulations on starting a new job! That's wonderful news!
 
Keeping my fingers crossed :fl I really hope that Mia will be her old self again soon. I've read your story on the homepage of the Tri-State Sheltie Rescue and I'm telling it to every dog person I know because it is admirable and full of inspiration :yes:
 
When it comes to medical stuff its often better not to look on the internet. I can't tell you how many times I've scared myself silly.

One thing to remember, its often the people with horror stories that post their experiences online. Much less often do you hear of the happy people with success stories, but they're out there.

I am so sorry to hear about Mia, hopefully the vet can figure something out.
Hopefully its just a little phase she is going through and all will be fine.

Maybe Mia has found that she is so comfortable with everything, she wants to be the Alpha Girl now. Her job is bossing the boys around. :wink2:

You are a good mom, with your support as always with Mia she is going to be fine.

Yes..a differant dog all together. After looking at recent changes here with food,we figured out she was hungry. We of course you all know that the 3 shelties were on the tubby side. So for awhile I thought I would try a lower caloric food. Well we were notcing differant things with the boys as well.

Like coming home to garbage strewn all over the kitchen...now in all my years with these boys,they never ever had scrounged garbage out the disposal can in kitchen...well that evening they did. They were uneasy..they would wake me up at 4am..starved. They were cranky,pacing...
AHHH HA>>> It's the food! And not enough of it... That was number one issue.

The second thing I did,was put Mia back in her thundershirt. Well I'll tell you,between her going back on her food that day,and her thundershirt,she was a changed dog. And Trapp & Jasper as well.

She has done very well,no out bursts at all. They all seem content,and are at least back to normal waking times in mornings.
She will still be seen for her yearly,and we will ask to have a complete panel done,even T4,as was suggested. We just want to cover all our bases with her.
