Hopefully you get some answers today Ron and that Teddy feels better soon! Perhaps as you said initially Teddy was bit and this isn’t a cyst? Maybe he needs an oral antibiotic…glad you were able to get him back in so quickly!
Well I am at his Dr Appointment and am doing my best to advocate. I even said I want him to have a little local before working on his wound since he is reactive.
I am getting the impression some feel that it's just a pet. While others like me say family. And told the Vet technician that family is entitled to excellent care since it's not cheap and I have been a client for over 24 years . Probably won't make a difference but at least this pleasant young VT allowed me to say piece
I'd want that seen too, I'm glad you're there. Also glad you're standing up for Teddy...they depend on us to be their advocates. I do wonder if it's in a tough spot to get to heal since it's a close, warm area. I hope they give you some answers! Keep us posted, thinking about you and Teddy.
Sheep that is not a cookie wound that is a sirloin steak wound.
Guess I am officially an old cranky Guezzer I had one of the owners, who I have known for years as Teddys Vet
He got pre touch local , Was shaved big time , his boo-boo was drained again and has drain tube, he now has pain meds + antibiotics They put him a knee surgery suit, He showed us while at the clinic how fast you can get out of it when you have no cone on. Was trying to get rid of the cone but that was wishful thinking
We go back Friday for a checkup and dressing change .
Ann I asked what it was and he said he was not sure if it was a cyst or not because its gone. He did take a sample so we may change the high powered antibiotic if needed. He did say he found more puss at the lower part of the wound.
May know more after they run the sample. I will post whatever I find out. I'm betting on some type of bacterial infection. I still think he was bitten while out walking with my wife.
What a good thing you got him in again and didn't wait and hope it healed. It sure sounds like there's infection there, the antibiotics should help. Sorry you couldn't shed the cone, I bet Teddy is too! I hope this speeds the healing. Definitely steak for Teddy!
His new outfit
I hope it goes better now, Today was like old days I said fix it and none of the questions like on Thursday. Sad part is I asked for antibiotic last week and didn't get one. I am having an internal question though. Why do you have to have people think your a horsesa** when you just want to be an advocate for your best friend?
