Teddy had a set back.

Are your wolf spiders huge and aggressive? Ours out here get real big and can jump two feet high to snag a bug off the wall...they also will chase you.
Our tarantulas are the only spiders I like, guess its cuz they are so big I really wouldnt want to go hand to hand with them...discretion is the better part of valor where they are concerned LOL
Geez give me the bitter cold winters any day over a spider big enough to chase me:hide:gaah! I’d run straight to the looney bin:lol:!

Don't see them much but I think yes. Mostly they are outside hunting. Now Garden Spiders!!!!! actually a great thing to have but super huge and scary looking. They eat everything else and leave people alone.

Of course the only two pics I could find were not the biggest I ever had in on my porch and patio, but it gives the uninitiated a good idea. Spider #1 is wolf spider, those are 4 in tiles. I took a broom and tried to nicely sweep him off the patio and the bastage turned around and charged me! Wasn't so gentle second time LOL

I dont know what kinda stretching that doofy taratula was doing but the door bell gives him perspective. He's kinda small still. Front Toe tip to back toe tip on a mature male is 5-6 inches at approx ten years old. These I leave alone--mostly cuz I'm afraid whatever I went after him with he'd just take away from me and beat me with it LOL ;)

There's a reason to test nukes out that way

The only spider I’ll move outdoors is the daddy long legs …don’t know why, I’ve just always liked them. I’d never touch them though!
If I felt something crawl on me I’d be up out of bed stripping my sheets:ROFLMAO:…I’d have to make sure there was nothing there! Yuck :ROFLMAO:…but then that’s me, I have a thing about bugs!

Actually daddy long legs eat other spiders- they have long legs and fangs that are so small they can't penetrate your skin... Arachnophobia is a instinctual thing so of like a reaction to snakes-- most spiders are harmless and just want to get on with getting on...I have heard that we eat a number of spiders each year not sure how tho:) Nice start to halloween huh???

Wolf spiders are fantastic hunters. We used to watch them catch flies in the windows when we lived in Fla. Again they won't hurt you or chase you or have any real interest in you unless you are attracting flies:)...Tarantulas are big and scary looking -- they are also one of the most kept pet spiders. An entomologist I knew had them in his aquaria and would take them out for a walk occasionally- they didn't seem to mind being picked up carefully but that I would leave to someone else. Again they may fang you and it is stingy but not serious. The worse thing are the hairs which can cause irritation. Again I would just shuttle them out of the house and back in the world in which they want to be and belong.

The big orb weaver are also frightening because of their size but again other than the mess of their webs they are natures mosquito and fly traps-- i.e. good guys.
