Teddy had a set back.

Of course the only two pics I could find were not the biggest I ever had in on my porch and patio, but it gives the uninitiated a good idea. Spider #1 is wolf spider, those are 4 in tiles. I took a broom and tried to nicely sweep him off the patio and the bastage turned around and charged me! Wasn't so gentle second time LOL

I dont know what kinda stretching that doofy taratula was doing but the door bell gives him perspective. He's kinda small still. Front Toe tip to back toe tip on a mature male is 5-6 inches at approx ten years old. These I leave alone--mostly cuz I'm afraid whatever I went after him with he'd just take away from me and beat me with it LOL ;)

Enjoyed the humor-- I am picturing the tarantula taking a broom away from you--but that wolf spider was charging the broom -do you blame him. With guys like that I put a glass over em the slip a thin cardboard underneath it and take em outside to let them go he was outside already tho and just checking out the local restaurant:)

Guess we have sort of taken over the OP's thread with all this spider stuff but I have enjoyed the humor etc. Glad Piper is adjusting and doing better good news for sure.

Yeah we hijacked Teddy's thread LOL although to be fair it was him getting bitten by a brown recluse that started it!
Some folks keep tarantulas as pets around here. Not my cup of tea, but I did host several females in my backyard for a few seasons. Sadly they got into a cat fight? bitch fight? I don't know what you call it LOL and only one remained as Queen! She's still out there, has several "apartments" dug around the yard. She dives into one when the boys come flying outside at night...
And yeah I blame the wolf spider for charging me LOL Those guys creep me out! They are so big their eyes reflect light from a flashlight!

oops my bad Teddy's thread-- sorry. BTW continuing the hijack-- I knew three college age kids that have been bitten by the Brown reluse- they were in Texas. Two were in the neck area and I think I remember one in the upper arm or chest/back?/ It happened years before I knew them and the scars that i left were horrible. One person whose mother was a nurse described how her mother had to dig out the necrotic tissue every night.. The bite is painless as I understand it but the necrotic enzymes just don't quite. All three people had huge golf ball sized scars- this was back int he 70s so hopefully they know how to deal with this better now.

Wow…that explains why it took so long for Teddy’s bite to heal!

The second Vet had to cross cut the bottom section to get the bad part out and thus allowing it to also drain. He still has a small tiny scab that has not come off yet .
The only good thing that happened was seeing the second Vet who did a great job with at that time his really nasty wound.

I feel your pain. I have three dogs with one front leg that has a giant hole in their feathers where they were shaved for the IVs were from their surgeries. I decided to cut the feathers shorter so it wouldn't look so jarring. It still looks ridiculous. Sheltie fur growth makes paint look speedy.

Feeling your pain too. Meadow has TWO poodle legs - I guess they missed the first IV. And a bare tummy kinda up her sides even. Eli's surgery was Aug 7 and his leg is just now filling back so you can't really tell in front and he's got about an inch and a half of hair on his tummy. I swear it'll be a year before they both look somewhat normal....:(

Funny thing they never shaved Piper’s leg from his surgery. His under jaw where they shaved him is only just growing in, like the peach fuzz Ron mentioned.
Your right Ron…paint does dry faster lol.
