The 80s Crimper look.

I don't worry too much about it. I wish it wasn't that way, but I also wish he wouldn't play in the brook and the black swamp of sucking death either and I don't get my way on that. I kind of figured it was from him getting wet all the time.

It must be some of that, too. Smudge also LOVES mud, rain, snow, ect. The messier he gets, the more he loves it.

Oh well. At least it's not matted. :biggrin2: Could be worse, I guess. I just didn't want people thinking I didn't brush my dog. :uhoh:

Both Noah and Emma have(had) the crimped look -it looks like they had their hair braided overnight and then the braids removed.

Right now, MMM paws (which are suppose to white) and kind of a tannish brown colour. I bathe him every other Sunday night (he sleeps on the bottom of our bed is why so often). I use to wash his paws every time he got into the mud and wet, now I don't. I brush him every morning for like 3 minutes, make sure there are no mats and try to line comb him with the baths.

I can't keep up with his Mess Making and people are just going to have to think what they think!

He has just recently started to clean at his paws like a cat and will brush at his nose and ears with his paws.

I am sure Mr Smudge and Miss Fluff are very presentable. Their white is always so white in the pictures.

Bailey has "crimp" fur behind her ears too. Actually, someone at the park today commented about it. For some reason, they all thought I crimped her hair. Seriously? why would I crimp my dog's fur. I could care less if her fur is wavy, straight for crimped. As long as she's healthy and happy, I don't care. There's far more important things to worry about....like feet. Those must be neat and trimmed. :biggrin2:

Oh yes, feet must be nice. I hate the Dr Seuss look of fur sticking everywhere.

And missjennygirl has got me looking at pups without their whiskers and now I keep MMM's trimmed. I never did like whiskers on Cleveland, but would have never thought it would be ok to cut them off.

No whiskers keeps him looking like a baby!:o:yes:

Yes, Jess, your pups always look so clean! (This is why there are never many pictures of MMM. He is only clean from Sunday night until Monday morning before I let him outside!:rolleyes2::uhoh: And remember that MMM is white factored so there is a ton of white on him)

I trim whiskers, too. I don't trim Smudge' whiskers, because he got MAD at the scissors and gave a warning growl. So no trim for him. :uhoh:

Fluffy doesn't care so hers get trimmed once a week. :biggrin2: Her stubble hurts midweek though.

Yes, MMM came right out of missjenneygirl's house with all his little whiskers gone and I can't stand now to see them on him.

I am ashamed though. I do a horrible job of his ears and they would all be appalled if they saw them.

I don't know what I am going to do with this Northeast Sheltie Picnic coming up. I am going to have to bathe him that morning and pray that no one looks too closely at his ear trimming. Paws I do ok with.

Hey, Jess, Does Smudge's underbelly crimp too? MMM's is crimpy there too. But again, he is always getting wet.
