Bentley's stomach hair crimps too--same with the bottom of his ruff when it gets wet
Yeah. Smudge is weird though. Most dogs like having their stomach rubbed/scratched, but Smudge does not. He's so odd. Anyway, that means he never rolls over to get petted. So when he's on the grooming table I have to hunker down and take care of business. Kills my back.
Fluffy is so small I have to have a table. Being on the floor hurts my back, too.
The table I have is a good table, but I wish it were a little shorter. I'm 5'4, and with Smudge being as tall as he is it's a bit high. No way to adjust the height though.Toffee's Mom

How tall is Mr Smudge now? Toffee is 18.5 inches??!!!!? I measured him today because I want to know if I ever DO an agility trial wht height he'd have to jump...
PS: I am so glad ya'll this weird, too LOLLLL Comparing notes on what we all gonna think if we see elf feet and mouse faced boys with whiskers, LOL

When I got Justice his whiskers were trimmed and I always kept his whiskers short and I didn't start showing him until 3 yrs. Same with Ember. I hate the pokey ends and like the look but it was a pain. So after Ember was spayed I didn't do any more comformation so slowly the whiskers grew back. When they got past the shrp stage I had no motivation to cut them. So Justice and Ember have huge mouse whiskers. Diva has no whiskers because she is showing and I don't trim her. I got asked the other day why 1 didn't have whiskers and 2 did. Answer,their owner is lazy.
Oh, but the whiskers are one of the best parts of the pup! I love my baby long nose whiskery kisses and my sweet big girl whiskery kisses. Perhaps if I showed ym pups, teh opinion would change.
I call the grown out feet 'Grinch feet.' Just trimmed back Pierre's and butchered it because the frenchman wouldn't stay still! His black claws stick out of uneven white fur in very obvious ways. I clipped the nails, too, but they still look pretty long to me. Should online window shop that Dremel...
Anyway, I second the slicker/baby powder combo.

Mr. Smudge is 17 1/4 inches. I'm sure if we were going to do agility he would have to go with the border collies. Smudge and Fluffy JUMP OVER EACH OTHER'S BACKS when they get excited! Fluffy clears Smudge (and I mean she's still a good distance above him!). I have not measured her in a while, but I am guessing Fluffy is somewhere between 14-15 inches. Probably closer to 14.

Yeah ToffToff will have to jump against the BC's, at about 20 inch jumps, Ania looked it up for me... but I saw some this weekend, and their handlers kinda sucked, bad bad timing and no handling system, and they were frustrated humans.. SO... maybe we will have a chance, unless I am going to suck even more LOL

There was two women who owned the obedience center I took Smudge to. One bred/showed border collies. It would be a cold day in Florida before I went up against her border collie in anything. That dog could do it all!
