Well, they say that dog owners are supposed to look like their dogs! If this were true, you'd be the owner of some lovely brown Standard Poodles (like the pics on Marco's page!)

Gorgeous hair! Funny how people with straight are just die for curls, and those with curls die for straight! We're just never happy!

Yup, I agree, soooo not what I expected a sheltie owner male to look like! (that's not a bad thing :wink2:)

Wow! What a fantastic response to this thread! I love, love, love seeing pic's of you all! And such total surprises!

It came to me to start it because of the love and support that I've received from so many of you over the last year. In many ways, you've become a family to me, which when I started to think about it, seemed kinda weird.

How could ya'll be like family if we really didn't know anything about each other beyond our dogs. I figured that we probably had more to share than just our dogs. Over the last year, I was able to start piecing together each of you into a more complete whole!

Probably a bad analogy to use right about now given the media attention, but it's kinda of like Jon and Kate Plus 8....."this OUR life!".

Kelly - I don't want to detract from the main theme of this forum - which is, of course, SHELTIES!!!! But perhaps we can add either:

- a category in the forum: "Tell us about yourself", or
- on our individual pages, add a section for "Personal Profile" with the ability to add links to photos.

I know the tell us about yourself is kinda covered under the Introduce Yourself, but that tends to be Sheltie focussed (as it should). So I favour adding a section on our individual pages.

Just a thought!
 
Boy, I have to say we are one gorgeous group! Who knew Sheltie owners were such attractive people?! I guess if the theory holds that one looks like one's dog, that would make sense--Shelties being such beauties. :winkgrin:

Since we're doing families, here's my contribution.
First is my daughter's husband, Matt, my son Jay, Jay's fiance Kristin with their daughter, Emily, my daughter K.C. and our good friend and pastor Fr. Bob at Emily's baptism a week ago. Next is Emily, me and husband Bill, and last, all of us at K.C. and Matt's wedding two years ago next month.

Yeah, I get that a lot(not the being a guy part). :lol: People also expect me to listen to country-western & wear boots since I'm from Texas. Nope, it's heavy metal & shorts for me. :cool: I miss the Bug...it was such a blast to drive. :cry:

DH has a 1958 MGA ragtop. It's beautiful, but right now it's a high class paperweight! :lol:
