Oh dear, how did Smudge take to having his crate peed in?

He hasn't been back in it to know yet. Smudge gets let out first. He goes to the bathroom (outside, thanks! ), and then he comes back in to eat. Fluffy has blanket covering the outside of her crate so she can't see Smudge. It hasn't tamed the barking down any though.

I also had to throw away three toys that were in there with her. They were gross. So I put her in a new toy, come back, and not five minutes later the stuffing is all over the place!

I got a pad for Sca's house that is washable from Petsmart. He has not had an incident in his house but after a bit it gets doggly so I toss it in the washer and poof it is back to nice (I use dye/perfume free detergent)

If she continues to pee in the crate, then I would get a UTI test. That was Bailey's first sign that she had a UTI. She'd just pee in her crate without any signal that she had to go bathroom and then lay in it.

I knew she had to go, but I foolishly thought she would hold it for another minute. She pooped in her crate, and then she urinated all over Smudge's pet bed.

She does pee a lot though. Not sure if it's because she's a puppy or not. If it keeps up I will bring it up with the vet. I didn't even think about a UTI.

I don't want to tell you to ignore signs of a UTI, but I am astounded at how often Lexi goes to the bathroom, and she doesn't have a UTI. When I'm home, I take her out probably every hour or hour and a half just to be safe and she pees every time I take her out. I've even taken her out 15 minutes after she went out before (like if we're leaving) and she'll still pee.

But, like I said, you just have to figure out if it's normal or a UTI.

i've noticed that girl dogs tend to pee more than boy dogs.

When Bailey's UTI was bad, she would pee every 20 to 30 mins.

Bailey had that same problem when she was young. If she had to go out and I didn't take her out right away, she would pee or poo in the house. I don't think they have good bladder and bowel control at that age. Bailey didn't gain that type of control until she was 5 or 6 months old.
