My heart felt condolences to you and your family. Thank God we have people like you on this earth that have the compassion and love in there hearts to care so much for something in life and in death. Its a testament to strong character and good dog people. Thank you.
This may not help you at all but what has happened to your baby has made me take a long look at what I get my Hurley into, he had complete kidney failure at about 3 months old and although I get them tested often this serves as a tough reminder to be extra careful with him.
 
Nature is wonderful and the "Beautiful Eagle" was I beleive the sign you needed to know your little one is safe.

It brings home the terrible time we had with our first Sheltie who died of kidney failure, and now we have our two older boys with the same problem and have to think about today with them and not about tomorrow when ever that may be
