Three generations of our girls

Beautiful!

I noticed that the Granddam and Grandaughter seem to have almost the same exact face. All three are just so pretty!
 
They are absolutely beautiful and the family resemblance is definitely there. At a quick glance, and if I wasn't familiar with Shelties, I'd think I was looking at the same dog because the differences are so subtle. Love their blazes and the subtle differences in the shading of their coats.

Beautiful, just simply beautiful.

Good eye you have! I agree. It's quite easy to confuse the two at a first glance, even for Mom and me! It is so nice when you can preserve those virtues across generations.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I love this picture, because it so captures who each of them is. To me, the personalities that I know and love shine through - they look exactly like themselves. It makes all the memories I have of each of them (and of the littermates, and sires, and gradsires, and granddams, who aren't pictured here), come flooding back.

They really are such a part of our lives! What a privilege it is, to be a part of theirs.
 
What I noticed, when I looked at the pedigree is how the look is preserved and carried down through many generations. Some of the same dogs are in Emma's line and I can see them in her.
 
Stunning photo. Your line breeds very true! In the UK we have Breeders' Competitions which reward consistency in a kennel between 3-4 dogs. Do you have anything similar? I'm sure they would be strong contenders:biggrin2:
