tipping ears once set?

Few weeks back the glue came out again and it appeared they were tipped so beautifully. I cleaned them off and was so happy! That lasted for several days then skyward they went...Looks like I'm in for the long haul like mbfrench!

Well I glued Granite's ears down last night. He's mildly annoyed but is dealing with it well. We have our Sheltie Specialty next week so I'll unglue his ears next Friday and make them all pretty for the weekend and then glue them back down after we get back next Sunday :biggrin2:

Those darn ear gremlins! I know the feeling of doing happy dances when you get that correct look..and one thinks "is it good enough..will they stay"??

Often times not. They may look good for a few days,then Wonky comes into play. Re-glue or do your method,and continue faithfully till yr. old. You will be much happier with the expression. And since you have come this far...its gonna be ok.

That the the folks do,keep them in till just before,then re-do once show is done. Good luck on the specialty!

:lol: I'm procrastinating. We haven't re-glued his ears yet (which is why no photo of before) BUT we're going to tonight. I hate having his ears glued when we go to class (every wednesday) because the instructor is a retired AKC judge and she always tells me that since I'm not showing him I shouldn't put him through the tipping process :(

Yeah, with us agility folk though no one cares what they look like typically so I wouldn't normally worry. He's only going to spectate this weekend but I figured he should look handsome so I'll unglue his ears probably tonight and spend tomorrow making sure the glue is all out so he'll be all pretty on Friday :biggrin2:

Granite's been doing great with the ears. He hasn't undone them yet! I'm going to undo his ears tonight and then redo his ears Sunday night after the specialty.

You gotta catch up and get his ears done! Don't wait too long :wink2:

:o They'll get done when they get done! :lol: Ruutu always pulls his out though.. I actually ran out of hair to glue to :hide I'm hoping after an hour car ride, an hour of Agility courses and another hour car ride he'll be nice and sleepy to let his ears set.
