Toilet training woes

just posted in Darren's thread about the issues with bathroom- whenever you have to go, that's when there's issues with the puppy. whoever is in charge of the puppy never really watches them and then there's accidents...
just curious why you didn't take Kismet with you into the bathroom- all of mine need to accompany me on a regular basis.....

Speaking of going when you have to...read a post on Facebook where a child pooped in a park...I said mom needs poop bags and someone was offended ! I was serious! Lol

It used to be Deska's job to supervise my toileting. Nowadays though there is no guarding the toilet. Della was resource guarding the entrance to the toilet and snapping at the other animals, incl the cats when they tried using the kitty litter in there (behaviourist said it had to stop). And with my mobility issues I can't have dogs hovering (or bickering) in my way. It's bad enough my older cat likes to use the kitty litter when I'm in there

Funny thing, I also tried the lead approach a couple of weeks ago - she just peed on the carpet right in front of me!

Yep, Liam regressed too. We did go back to potty training 101 and I added treats as a reward! That did the trick!
Here is a picture of my potty area. I use pea gravel. It is about 14x7

Wow, that looks fantastic. It's definitely a lot smaller than my area, which just has wire around it. But it has made me realise, as it's also the play area that may be too distracting. I have the smaller play area to stop Della fence running, guess I also need an even smaller potty area. I really want to get rid of the grass in that area.
