Training Birch

He is soooo cute! And definitely is interested in the world around him. I had to stop watching your video because it was giving me puppy fever!

What a dynamite little guy! I'm so glad you went with your heart. Things just don't always work out like you plan, but sometimes, they work out the way they were meant to! Congrats on Birch, and wishing you a long loving relationship.

I put together a small video of what Birch was learning this week.

He is doing very well with the balance disk and is realizing he has a rear end. He is doing touch, sit ,stand , and a nice name game. I haven't captured a down yet. Not seen on the video. He is walking well on leash. 1 more week and we can leave the property. Starting to learn fronts and bounce.

Housetraining is doing great for a 1o week old. We had one accident(my fault) but he goes in 2 secs when he hits outside. He is getting better at been held(not so wiggly).

I am just amazed at the focus of this little puppy for 10 weeks. He didn't even seem to notice Tanner the cat during our training sessions.

He is so calm and thoughtful! What I neat video. I enjoyed watching him think!

I know! He thinks about what he suppose to do and is so into training. Then on the other hand he is a wild thing and crashes head first into new adventures. Perfect temperment for a preformance dog.:smile2:

It took Diva over a year to get this calm and she still can't focus like he does. I think I will see what he thinks of the dumbbell next week. He starts Suppy puppy class on Jan 9, I can't wait!:biggrin2:

oh, it is so cool when they are into training, I love that feeling. Both of mine crash head first too, while I have my hands full some things are just sooo much easier like Che just taught himself to use skateboard- got on one and started driving:biggrin2:
Am looking forward to hearing Mr Birch adventures. Are you keeping his name?

He is so so adorable. He reminds me a lot of Dandie when she was a pup. Same fuzz ball look to her, and she was very confident and extremely smart too!

Yes I am keeping his name. Thought about changing it but can't think of anything I like bette that fits him. His brother Spruce is now being called Leo. Which is good because I really didn'y like the name.

I am 99% sure Birch's registered name is going to be Blackmyst Shockwave. I still reserve that right to change it until it is down on paper. But I really like it.:smile2:
