Travel to Ireland?

So someone I know from bike racing is thinking on a 6 month trip to Ireland and bringing his dog. Any info on quarantines etc? Dog weighs in about 43 lbs for flying info.

When I got Logan, he was flown in from South Carolina. The ticket cost almost as much as a person. I would call the airlines.
personally, unless my dog could sit next to me on the plane, I wouldn’t go! I hate the thought of them in cargo! But, that’s just me! I am sure Chris could advise you as many times as she has flown to France with Layla!
 
It used to be a 6 month quarantine for dogs coming into the country at least in the 1970's and that's even if they are vaccinated against rabies. And like Gloria I would never fly a dog in cargo. Too many horror stories. I'm pretty sure Layla flies in the cabin with Chris as her ESA.
