Tully had a seizure

We saw the IMS today and he has decided to keep her overnight. Prelim tests are not showing anything, he says we have to consider a tumour tomorrow if the rest of the test come back clear.

Only other thing I can think of is she's refusing to eat. She is sick of what I feed her and doesn't want to eat it. I know how much she hates fish, but with an allergy to just about every protein it's the only thing we have left. The IBD and kidney disease does maker her inappetent. Her weight hasn't dropped a lot (she's lost more weight in the past from her IBD), but could she just be that fatigued from not eating. Or is it a tumour? There was something suspicious on her bladder last year.

It's so quiet tonight without my cuddly teddy bear.
 
It is so scary when our dear ones become older and have an illness. When my Cody was 11 he had a seizure that lasted what seemed like an eternity but was really probably only a few minutes. I rushed him to the emergency vet and they ran all sorts of tests on him and could find nothing wrong. He lived 3 more years and never had another seizure. I hope Tully is okay and back home soon!
 
Oh Caro, I'm praying that Tully is diagnosed with only elder panic. Layla sometimes does this, and when you said she was fine after cuddling, it reminded me of how Layla sometimes is exactly, Keeping my fingers crossed.
 
Second night for Tully in the ER. And that's 2 days of me being separated from her! I can't even visit because the ER is so understaffed. My poor little old cuddly bear. All going well she'll be home in the morning.

The specialist thinks Tully may have stomach ulcers. The seizure he's not sure about, could have been a stroke or age related brain changes, or it could just be an imbalance from not eating for days. But as her neurological responses seem okay now we're not pursuing it.

Sadly a friend lost her 8yr old Sheltie to a gallbladder rupture last night. Next on my list when I pay off Tully's vet bill is to get Della' s gallbladder scanned. In the past I waited until they were 10yrs old, but I think ASSA suggests younger.
 
Well I will pray that ulcers is all it is. That would account for her not wanting to eat. All fingers crossed for her to return home to you tomorrow. I am glad the neuro stuff checked out OK.

I'm so sorry for your friend's loss of such a young dog. I found out an acquaintance lost her 6 year old to sudden kidney failure. Gut wrenching.

I had Faith scanned at age 7 for her gallbladder.
