UDX leg # 2

Chapter finished. :) Justus earned his UDX on Saturday at the Atlanta Obedience Club. So happy. So tired! He qualifed again on Sunday, but I did not bring him back for open group out of sight stays, so I kept us from leg 11. That would have been a first, 4 Q's in a row, but there is plenty of time for that later.

My book says we entered 22 trials to net 10 qualifying legs, not bad! The scores were average.

I have to admit my guy worked great on Saturday, a 195 in open with some barking points deducted. A 189.5 in Utility with one of the Auto finishes that hurts, and barking ... One woof on the go out, maybe two, and a bark on the sit... So he has some work to do before we enter again....

Oh, and Flyer entered the novice only trial on Friday and earned Preferred High in Trial with a 96, if I remember correctly...

I love my dogs, I love the sport, I'll be back! I will search for a coach that can help me. My new goal for Justus, one OTCh point....lol...

GREAT JOB!!! Wow, what a ride it has been for you both... that level is so far down the road if ever for me.
Hats off to your dedication!

That was so special... at one point I was vaguely aware of people surrounding the ring standing, and how strangely quiet it was (except for Justus' occasional woof) I was told that everyone was holding their breath through the last three exercises, but no one was as much as I! It was almost like we were in slo-mo. So thankful that Open B was first both days, so that it would not come down to those 3 agonizing out of sight sit minutes that could make or break my day!

We should hear this week from the AKC about what changes to Open and Novice are going to be. I'm sitting here with three premium lists trying to figure what to do next.
 
Thank you. :) We've taken some time off and been slacking... we are entering in January, in the Preferred classes and will jump the lower 16" and no open group stays!!! :) :) :)
