Ukc ch

I love UKC. There are some really nice shows near me in Bel Air, MD that I go to twice a year. Laid back, plenty of grass, plenty of parking, it's more like a picnic than a show. My goal is to keep my dog in the top ten this year, only doing four weekends of shows. He is #2 right now.

very cool- good luck :smile2:

UKC also has altered classes. : ) Not all shows offer them, but a lot do.

Years ago, my friend showed her first Malamute in the Altered class and got Best altered dog in show. Judge asked why the bitch was spayed as she is beautiful. Well She had severe temperment issues as a young dog. But with hard work and training thankfully over came them. She was High in Trial at the 2001 AKC Malamute Nationals. Beautiful, smart dog lost too early to bloat.

I am really confused - is the UKC in America as well? We have Crufts qualifiers here but not UKC shows so I am not sure what its all about.

OK - strike that question, you arent referring to the UK Kennel Club are you?

UKC is the United Kennel Club. It is the second (real registry) in the US. They have breed, obedience, agility, rally, weight pulling, terrier races and more.

It is more laid back than AKC. My dogs are titled in UKC. Justice is an UKC Grand Champion(breed), Grand Obedience Champion and Agility Champion. Before AKC let mix breeds in UKC was a great place for them to play in obedience and agility and such.:smile2:

I'm so late in reading through this and seeing "Link". He indeed is handsome. Congratulations are in order !!!!!!
