Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)

I am so sorry to hear that she has another UTI. That stinks.

When Chloe was on meds for Lymes for almost a year I kept her on a supplement called Cran-Tri-C and that seemed to do the trick. Once I put her on it, she didn't get another one.

Thanks, I'll look into it.

Randi suggested I try something called [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]D'Mannose Powder, apparently is found in cranberries and is good for urinary health. I don't know if anyone else has tried it but I'm looking into it too.

Randi also suggested I track Sadie's urinary pH using pH sticks, which I think is a great idea. If I check it monthly then I'll have an idea of whether or not the supplement I chose is working and I'll also be able to see if a UTI is coming on.

Randi has done a lot of research on preventing UTIs, so she would know!

cranberry

Not the dog this time but myself, I have had two uti's and both times meds and cranberries were prescribed. I don't know if this helps but Danisgoat had mentioned cranberry supplement and it sure can't hurt.

I feel her pain, no fun!

Best,
Kate
