Vet Costs

my vet bill from yesterday

wellness exam: 35.00
Canine DaPvP Vaccine: 20.00
Canine Lepto-4 Vaccine:15.00
1 Interceptor pill: 6.00

Total: $76.00

I dont know if this is cheap or expensive .. but I like the vet. ( this vet is an hour away as well.)
Unlike my previous vet... This vet took the time to answer all my questions.
(and if you have seen any of my posts i have many many questions.)
MY last vet had her hand on the doorknob as I was trying to ask some questions which I thought was very rude. I understand she had lots of patients too see but I needed help to ... ya know? ( and I too am a paying customer).
And by the way my Snickers is a happy healthy pup. (thank God). I think I get more nervous taking him to the vet then myself to the doc.

That's about what I pay each time for a round of puppy shots, a checkup, and flea medicine. Fluffy is getting the Advantage multi, but I HATE topical flea treatments, so she'll switch over to the same stuff Smudge is using when she is older (Interceptor and Comfortis). She got the combo shot, bordetella, and distemper.
 
That's pretty reasonable. A good vet you can trust is worth his or her weight in gold. Mine jokes that he's named the new scale "The Lafferty-Duffy Memorial Scale" because with four Shelties, we funded it! :eek2:

I was given the honor of being the client who spent the 2nd highest amount at our vet's office for 2008. I believe I am always in the top 10. Isn't it nice, the girls at the front desk let me know. LOL :eek2:

Me too!! With my late girl she was always at the vet. Or saying was "its not a question if Sadie will get it.... its a question of when she will get it"

My vet costs:

comprehensice exam - $65.00
rabies 1 year booster - $21.90
revolution 6 months - $87.20
X-ray - $119.45 per view

Okay. I'm glad I don't have that honor. No really, I'm willing to give it up. Yikes!

I don't like that the girls at the front desk know me and say oh look it's Bailey. I don't want them to know us. That means we spend too much time there.
 
You should get something similar to frequent flyer miles for spending enough at your vets to be the second highest spender of the year :x
