Vinca's First AKC Agility Trial - October 1st.

I just know she's going to do great with Vinca and they'll both have so much fun!

Thanks....it will be a good experience for both. Vinca is our little "shut down" dog. She has come a long way since we got her from the rescue, but still is not 100% bomb proof, lol. So, you never know how it goes.

We got our entries back, and we have to be there to get measured between 7 and 7:45 AM and she doesn't run until 4PM. So I guess we are there for the day! Our friends are trialing there all weekend, so they will have there camper with them. That will be a nice spot to relax and hang out. Since I haven't been to an AKC show in such a long time, I will probably enjoy just walking around and seeing the different Agility events. The EXC are in the morning, so they will probably be fun to watch.

I keep thinging of all the things I need to bring. Most importantly her ILP paperwork and her junior handler certificate.

What about the height cards? Do I print them out, or do they give them to me there?

At least my mom is going with us and she has agility titles on her dogs so she knows what to do :-)

Michelle and Vinca are going to have so much fun. Sorry if I missed this -- which classes have they entered (jww, standard, fast)? Even though it means a bit of a wait, I like to get to the trial in time to watch the Ex classes. I compare the Ex and Novice (or Open) course maps, so I can see where the courses are the same and where they are different. Then, I watch to see how the Ex teams handle the parts of their course that are the same as the course I'll be running.

Don't forget the video camera!

How fun. Have a great time.:smile2:

When I got Ember measure, I got a yellow piece of paper to use as a temp card. I got her measure her 2x that weekend and then AKC sent me a permanent height card in the mail.

I was so glad I had people who knew what they were doing guide me around.
