Vomiting :0

Hi everyone,
I have had jacks for nearly two weeks and he vomits nearly every night:( the vomit is usually clear and about the size of a 10 cent piece. I have had him to the vet 3 times, his temp is dead on normal, his poo is normal (not runny and not any more than normal ), he has no pain reflex when the vet touches his tummy, he is eating and drinking normally , gaining weight and happy. I feed him Advance puppy , which is what the breeder fed him, softened with water . 1 cup spread over 3 feeds. The vet said maybe he is getting too hungry over night? So I gave him some biscuits before bed and he still vomited. The vet gave me a probiotic to give him once a day 2 days ago, so I'm seeing if that works. He's not chewing plants, eating dirt or poop. Has anyone else experienced this? It's usually in the early hrs of the morning. The vet is reluctant to do anything further because everything else is normal ? Jacks is 11 weeks. I have had shelties all my life but this I haven't seen . Will he grow out of it? :confused2:

Just off the top of my head; could it be the water ? Also, I am assuming he has been dewormed and a fecal done ? Maybe try a bland diet and see if that helps...maybe slowing down how quickly he eats would help.

Oh yeah. My Franklin is a puker. A small chunk of rawhide or a little fiber from one of the toys they've torn apart or even lint can have him heaving up a little liquid in the morning. Nothing really to do other than try and figure out what's upsetting his stomach and limit his exposure to it.

As long as he's eating and pooping regularly, it's not really a big concern, although if it continues long term it could hurt his esophagus similar to acid reflux in humans.

Max does this occasionally when he drinks, then runs. No retching, just a quick uurrrpppp. :ick

He is really really chewing at the moment! We don't have any rabbits around but he is chewing everything! I have given him lots of toys, but he literally chews his food bowl! I thought maybe the chewing might be stirring his digestive juices? But it's weird because it's always like in the early hrs of the morning like 3 am , 4? Hours after he's eaten or chewed ? I have been super vigilant to make sure everything he is eating / chewing is safe, but maybe I am missing something?

It's perfectly normal for them to bring something up that they had 12 - 16 hours ago. If mine are going to vomit they'll do it overnight so I get a parcel first thing in the morning. This has got a lot to do with already having a sensitivity that is excaberta

Try a couple of days with something bland - like boiled chicken and rice and see if the vomiting still happens. It will give you some idea if he has developed a sensitivity to the kibble.

Also check on what he is chewing during the day, check the toys to make sure he's not pulling off bits of fluff.

Can you try giving kibble that isn't softened in water?

Also try what Caro suggests - bland diet. Also watch what protein you give. My Liam can't have chicken.
