Waterless Foaming Shampoos?

I use Ice on Ice and never found the coat to feel slimy afterward.

Maybe different chemistry in the oils of the fur (different pH levels, etc) react differently with it. Much like how some people can use one brand of shampoo/conditioner but someone else finds it leaves a residue on the hair. I don't know, just wondering out loud about why different folks can have different experiences with the same product.

I brush once a week. I was using the ice on ice when I was brushing. I gave Smudge a bath, and after he was finished drying I was AMAZED at how much better his fur felt without the ice on ice build up. The ice on ice has since gone in the trash.

The Crown Royale is much better. It smells like cinnamon, conditions, and they have different formulas for different breeds. You can go to the Cherrybrook website, and they have a chart of all the different dog breeds. It tells you what formula for what dog breed. I really don't know how to describe the difference. You feel a difference (for the better) with the Magic Touch.

I re-read your post and I missed where you said you used ice on ice. I thought you were saying you used the show off as a leave in conditioner. I thought surely she is not saying to use waterless shampoo once a week?! :eek2:
I use waterless shampoo once a week, who cares. Really as long as nobody is using dishwasher detergent on their dogs, does it really matter who bathes their dog with what? I"m sorry if this post sounds rude, but the original question was what waterless shampoo is good.
I use fresh wave, and only on dirty areas, then try to rinse off with a wet towl, then brush.

Actually you can use dishwashing detergent on your dogs. It harshens up a soft coat!:wink2:

It did sound rude, but I am used to it. I was only commenting on the show off, because it is the only one I have used.

I've been in a fairly bad mood all day- even though it is Sandstorms birthday, I think I will go hug him now.

Happy birthday Sandstorm!

I've actually been in a bad mood, too. :uhoh: I'm going to try and fix that with actually getting some sleep tonight.

I think you maybe right. I have found the Ice on Ice to be slimy. Like I said in another thread with Justice I really hate it. It feels like I sprayed him with teflon. He has a really harsh coat. It doesn't seem as bad on Diva who until recently had a softer coat. I noticed since her last coat blowing last month, her coat is getting harsher/harder and the Ice on Ice isn't as nice on her anymore. I myself prefer Crowne Royal, the feel and the smell) and it works on all my dogs. I also dilute just a small amount in water rather than use it straight.

I also don't like waterless shampoos as a general rule but when they have diarrhea at the dog show it is a life safer. :smile2: I don't bathe my dogs unless they get really stinky(read poo butt) as line brushing keeps them fresh. Dirt seems to just fall off shelties coats.

I use Plush Puppy's Wonderwash though I may try CC's Show Off when I need to replace the bottle.

I don't use it all over, only to spot clean areas such as the feet, belly and rear end.

I use Plush Puppy Wonderwash as well. It foams up nicely and makes their whites look sparkling. It gets deeper into the fur than a dry shampoo.

I like to freshen them up before a trial (cant go without them sparkling) and when they are dirty and wet its great for spot cleaning the ruff and feathers. And I use it when Deska has a bone because he usually gets blood all over his ruff (despite the bandana bib).
