You are welcome. Paying it forward seems the best memorial. RIP Angus, you will be missed.

For a dark humor laugh. They gave me a paw print and his hair when I got the final bill. I was like NO WAY his hair would fit in that tiny bag. The vet techs remarked on how incredibly hairy he was. The had to shave his some for the initial blood test. Spitfire has a good coat but Angus was like the hair monster on Bugs Bunny....sometimes i wondered if there was a dog under there for real.

It always amazes me how little dog there is under all that fur-- but seeing them outside half the day playing when the temps are below freezing and you know it serves it purpose. Hate to admit this but with out first sheltie- an inherited shelite- I tho't all that fur would make the dog uncomfortable in the summer heat so I had a groomer give him a buzz cut-- she argued with me but I insisted and when I went to pick him up I didn't even recognize him-- he moped around for weeks after that- it did grow out and I learned the definition of bad humans that day--

The long fir also cools them. Kind of like the long garb in traditional desert folks.

Live and learn right? Riley was my first Sheltie and he was 5 when I got him and he was 7 when I got Piper who was my first puppy Sheltie. I knew nothing when I got Riley and I learned so much from the time I got Piper both from the breeder and SN. In fact I think I’ve been learning for the past 9 years! You’ve learned and are continuing to learn…you may have not known better then but you do now and that’s what counts!

I think the hardest part for Spitfire is he misses laying with Angus. He loves to dog pile and Sca said no chance. Angus was fine with it. He has been laying against stuff all over.

Though Angus is in heaven and has met Sca. He said WOW you do exist and is now commenting on he is even more fun than Spitfire said.

Such a sweet thought to know Sca and Angus are together, happy and healthy. Any puppy news? It does sound like Spitfire is a bit lost on his own.

3 weeks old now for 3 males..... a litter due around the new year. So at least Feb. Likely some idea on availability color etc mid-January. Dad would be a bi-black, mom a blue merle. The second litter is unknown colors right now.
