What a wonderful group!!

:smile2: You are all so wonderfu - my head is swimming. I think that, at this point, I need to wait and see whant her personality will be like. I know she is smaller - the smallest in teh litter and is expected to be about 12 inches. But, according to the breeder own words (and the video's I have seen) she makes up for it in spunk and intelligence. LOL, but I think spunk might translate to naughtiness :eek2: we will have to see.

I will keep you all posted as soon as the day arrives and, of couse, post lots of photos!!!

Crate training is invaluable.. although I don't have one now, since Toffee is my shadow, I am glad I did the crate training, because I wouldn't have to fully re-train him when I will have to use a crate for transportation, etc.

I had always used the command 'kennel' and he would just go in there, circle 50 times, readjust the blankets a hundred times, snuffle the blankets and then FINALLY fall down into a tight Sheltie ball and grunt, thus settled he slept for a few hours lol, that was before I even closed the door, lol

Expect to have a little ball of fun and energy! My puppy was also the smallest of the litter. She was only 3.5 pounds @ 10 weeks old! Now at 6.5 months she is 10-11 pounds and is about 12 1/2-3/4 inches. (She wiggles too much when I measure her.)

I do recall the breeder telling me that she had a great personality and is feisty. The word feisty made me a little nervous, but Bailey is such a sweetheart. She was a hyper puppy. She never sat still for more than a minute, but she has calmed down a lot! She calmed down at 4 months and then calmed down even more at 6 months. She still has her bursts of energy and is still a bit "feisty", but she such a little love bug

Watch out! We got Bits because she was the runt -- not expected to be big enough to show. Now she's 19" -- Sheltie-Zilla!!! :eek2:

Hello and Welcome, I too am new to the group! So far everyone has been so nice and full of wonderful advice!! I loved it so much I asked for a premium membership for Christmas.
