Choosing the Sheltie who chooses us
Thanks for these good words, important to me as I busy myself with research into Sheltie health and searching for the right breeder.
Leading with the heart is an infallible path to a loving friend.
More than one Sheltie is a recipe for happiness...the more, the merrier...within reason. We've most often had two girls at a time.

. I thought I was prepared, but can I just say if you live in a colder state, that adding a puppy in winter mths is brutal. I have always gotten puppies in spg and summer, never in wintertime. They could go out and burn off that puppy energy outside and enjoy the sunshine, but having a winter puppy I am finding is NOT really fun, and having two that are adjusting to each other being mostly housebound because of the colder temps isn't a recipe for happiness for us. I know it will improve, but yikes this is a challenging time.
