What are the benefits of more than one Sheltie?

Choosing the Sheltie who chooses us

Thanks for these good words, important to me as I busy myself with research into Sheltie health and searching for the right breeder.

Leading with the heart is an infallible path to a loving friend.

More than one Sheltie is a recipe for happiness...the more, the merrier...within reason. We've most often had two girls at a time.

try for warmer mths

Ok, having two puppies, Kaleigh at 10 mths now (times fly) and Savannah coming up on 10 wks...I can attest that puppyhood is HARD on the owner:eek2:. I thought I was prepared, but can I just say if you live in a colder state, that adding a puppy in winter mths is brutal. I have always gotten puppies in spg and summer, never in wintertime. They could go out and burn off that puppy energy outside and enjoy the sunshine, but having a winter puppy I am finding is NOT really fun, and having two that are adjusting to each other being mostly housebound because of the colder temps isn't a recipe for happiness for us. I know it will improve, but yikes this is a challenging time.

And oh did I think of you last week when it was raining and Cubby refused to pee. Snow, puppies, ooohhhhh. I was SO glad Cubby was a Spring/Summer puppy. Hang in there.
