What are the benefits of more than one Sheltie?

Just heard again from the owner, she sent a nice card and a CD with all of Brydies pictures, I have posted them to my album, will post one here as well.

She admits she hates to get rid of her, but, she feels she will like being in a home where there is not a "crowd" of Shelties. I was looking at this quarterly Sheltie newsletter I get put out by the "South Island Shetland Sheepdog Club" Brydie was in it, she has won several puppy shows already, one, for novice, and the other for best of puppy breed. She IS a looker.

I am so excited about getting her, man, I hope Barbara does not change her mind.

Anyway, here is her picture, the rest can be viewed in my album

She is really stunning...and looks like she has a confident personality from the tail and head carriage. I bet she will do just fine with the transition.

update

I am getting real excited now. I just got an email from her owner, and she is thinking about sending her right away, she said she is actually too young to spay, so, I can do it when it is time, man, things are happening fast, she will call me tonight and we will discuss things. I feel like an expectant parent, even though I have never had children. LOL I will let you know what happens and when I will get her.

more than one sheltie

well we had two that we raised together and the boy passed away at age 9 and our girl is 13 now and after he passed we debated on getting another but we did get Jake he was 6 months old and last year he was three and we adopted Ziva who was 4years on Christmas Eve and we love them all. Jake needed someone younger to play with and Chelsey our 13 year old just wasn't that interested so Ziva was perfect and they run and play all the time now. So, it is a personal thing and you just have to decide but they give us so much love while they are here it is hard not to want lots of them.
Good luck.

IT IS OFFICIAL!!!!:biggrin2:

I am soooo excited!!!!!:biggrin2:

This Sunday, we go to the airport to pick up our newest addition. We will get her around 11:30am. I can hardly wait. I am getting things ready now for her.

I talked to Barbara, her breeder last night, I really like her and she said she could think of no better person than myself, she loves how I have taken care of Laddie, and she knows she will have a good home. She did say, however, that if for some reason it does not work, she will take her back, no hard feelings at all. I also talked to Lisa, her daughter who has been keeping Brydie, she was telling me some of her traits since she knows her better than Barb since she has had her for a few months. She sounds like the typical Sheltie, more shy than Laddie however, a clinger to one she loves, not fond of men as she was hollered at and made scared by a man, but if the man is soft spoken, she will be fine, Steve is. She is very petite, barely 13 inches, a girly girl but can be a scruffier as well, LOL. She is kennel trained for night-time sleep, and housebroken. Been in the show ring as a novice, won some ribbons, but due to her height, can not be shown anymore in the junior, etc groups. She loves cuddles and loves to comfort when you cry, I need that big time, LOL. She sounds just like what I have been looking for. She IS the one that sat on my lap the day we got Laddie and I loved so much, so, hopefully, we will bond wonderfully.

As I said earlier, I posted a lot of pics of her in my photo album, have a look, she is full grown. Her birthday and Laddies is tomorrow, Friday the 20th.

Will keep you posted when I get her, man, I am excited. HeHe:lol:
