Ellie's are so long right now that she actually gets them inside her mouth when she eats!

OK now I feel stupid !

I have to admit I never noticed or should I say never paid attention to Kias' "whiskers". I actually just got up to check them out. :lol:

They are quite long so I suppose I should trim them , but they are so soft. So I think I'm leaving well enough alone.
PS: I never did jewels or Tashas' either. :eek2:

I don't trim Pepper or Skyler's whiskers, but Belle will need hers trimmed for the show ring.

Do all of you out there know what will happen to a cat if you do cut them off? They will get stuck trying to get into things! I have been told by a friend that cats whiskers tell them how big of a space they can fit into!! I never knew that and I'm sure that there are other uses for the cats as well, I just don't know what they are.

Yep, and cat whiskers are EXTREMELY sensitive! VERY painful for them if cut!! :no:

I used to cut Indy's whiskers; but he didn't care for it and I didn't have a "look" preference. I suppose that it is ENTIRELY DIFFERENT when you are prepping a sheltie for the show ring.

I think that my cat missed that instruction day from his mom because he gets stuck everywhere!!!! Every day he tries to squeeze though one of my gates and gets wedged...I dont even try to help him anymore...everyone who comes over laughes when they see him wedged he figures it out eventually how to free himself! :lol:

poor thing not the brightest bulb on the tree but he is cute!

I'll give that a cat needs them more, but they're still sensitive and the dog does still use them. I wouldn't cut off Zoe's whiskers. But, to each their own.

If you show they have to come off.....otherwise it doesnt matter.
