Who uses stuffed "toys" with your furkids?

That's kind of funny. It reminds me of when Bonnie saw the other dogs getting ice cubes. She had never had one. But if the other dogs were getting one, she wanted one. We gave it to her. She spit it onto the floor and gave us a look like she was trying to figure out why we would do that to her. "Yuck. This is cold and has no flavor. Why did you do that?"

A bit of an off the wall question here: Did you give the other dogs ice on subsequent occasions, did Bonnie whine for one then too, and was her reaction the same as the 1st time?

She always wanted a treat, and her reaction was always the same. We eventually stopped giving her ice and would give her a dog cookie or cheese or something. And we don't give ice often.

Both my dogs love their stuffies, but some wear better than others...Sometimes I let them have at it, and then discard when its too far gone.

Callan is a big time chewer (but he is only 10.5 months old so I'm bearing with it)

For chewing dogs that love their stuffies, I recommend Go Dogs, Huggle Hounds, Skineez, Kong (they have a line of stuffies.....not just the rubber toys that we already know. They have have a line of furry friends that are pretty durable. )

For rubber toys....Bionics for sure. Callan has yet to destroy this one but he keeps trying.

Katie had three stuffies - two kitties and a monkey - that she loved and would put her head on them. They all resided on my bed (her "throne"). Lady has a fox and a sheep that she loves to fetch and walk around with. Laddie was not interested much in toys in general. Lady will also lay on Katie's stuffies when she is on the bed with me.

Beau isn't allowed toys with stuffing anymore. It's one thing if he just rips them apart but he can't help but swallow all the little pieces (and then throw them up a day later, not good!)
The stuffing less toys are great for him, I just have to watch for when he manages to pull the squeakers out. I actually managed to find some at the dollarama, which was good because at other stores they have the same toys for more than double the price!
He wouldn't have toys like that at all but I can't be playing fetch with him in the house with a nylabone ;)

too cute!!

That's what I meant by the stuffing-less toys Callie likes. I couldn't remember the name of them -- but Amazon has LOTS more than our local pet store carries. The one I'm really interested in is the wooly sheep! What Sheltie wouldn't love one??

I think my monsters would enjoy this...might have to get them one, no, probably two, they don't share well...

I recently found a box of the mini beanie babies (I loved beanie babies their faces just make me smile) in storage, and my monsters have enjoyed playing with those. I pile them on them as they run around, perfect size for balancing on their backs, and they go crazy, trying to get at them, ha. Savannah is very gentle with beanie babies, which is goofy since being part beaver, she attacks everything else with the intent of making kindling.
