Winter Time Blues!

Some old fashioned obedience --- sits, downs, stays, recalls inside can be fun, particularly when done with two dogs simultaneously or interspersed with work on tricks. A rollover is great fun for the young pups. Just start with them in a down and lure them over with food. Sit like a gentleman / lady is also a party pleaser. Any of these things are great mental work.
 
WHen Sassy was still alive, my husband and I used to hide treats in the living room. One of us would take Sassy in a room, close the door while the one of us would hide whole bunch of little treats. Sassy loved the game. IT was mentally stimulating for her.
Mya has no idea how to play the game.
