Wish us luck...

IMG_8078.JPG FullSizeRender.jpg Thanks all for the kind words of the support for Baron!

We are finally back home. Took an hour to get there. Just when I pulled into the vet I heard poor Baron throwing up in his crate! He was so scared and stressed!

Got him out quickly and brought him into the vet and asked for paper towels to clean him up and the crate!
Not a good start...

The Dr was very kind and explained that Baron would need a root canal done along with reconstruction of the tooth.

They were kind enough to set me up in a little room so I could stay with him prior to the procedure being done! I got there at 8:45 and they did not take him until 11:30! Glad I was there with him instead of him being stressed in a crate for all that time!

He is resting on the sofa with me now... won't eat at all... not surprised after the stress and trauma of the day!

Luckily the breeder picked up the $815 charge! So glad it is over! The doctor did say he was in some discomfort as the pulp was exposed!

I also found out they won't cap dogs teeth as it would just come loose... that is why they do reconstruction... kinda like an appoxy like product I think!

I think he did a great job!

Yes, it's so nice when a vet understands that it's so important for us to be with them

Gloria so good to hear that Baron are well and have returned to the couch :hugs

Unfortunately, came downstairs this morning to a fowl smell! Baron had diarrhea on one of the rugs! Just smelled horrible! Threw out the rug immediately and took him outside to trim his rear fur that was impacted! Hated to do it but there was no way I was going to take him down stairs for a bath! Have all the windows open in the sunroom, family room with fans going to air the house out!

I know the anesthesia drugs can cause this. He is resting on the sofa now. Poor guy... I know how awful he must feel. He did eat this morning at least!

Probably the anesthesia and nerves both. Bet his tooth feels better now so he will start getting happier soon. Gibe him a pet from us.

Aw poor little guy! What a bad day for a dog :inpain:
In a few days you may see a whole new Baron...or at least a new improved one. When I got Koko I had no idea he had infection in prostate. I just thought he was quiet reserved lil guy. He was different dog after he got well!

I'm glad Baron is back home and hopefully feeling a bit better, I'm sure in a day or two it'll be like nothing happened...they do recover quickly! Sorry you had a mess to clean though...poor Baron, he must've felt bad too after having diarrhea but I can understand the trim and I'm sure he felt much better after you had him all cleaned up...Shelties sure don't like to be dirty!

Thanks all for your concern over Baron!

Happy to report that his stool was at least formed this morning! He seems a bit brighter too!

Had to take a break from training with all this going on...
