Won't pee in the grass, prefers the patio

No advice, just commiseration. Mavis is the same. She's also a rescue. Every single walk we take, no matter how long we first spend in the grass, the second we hit asphalt she poops. She'd rather go potty on the patio than the backyard, but after about three months she did reluctantly start to do that a little less. She'll go to outrageous lengths to avoid stepping on grass. :rolleyes2:

What prima donnas some of our fur babies are! I guess they're afraid of getting their dainty little feet wet.

Blithe will pee on the grass with no problem, BUT. . . does not like dewy grass and will sit and stare at it for a while after which he will leap onto it. Sort of like just knowing the pool water is cold, so I'd just better go ahead and dive in and get it over with.

He also hesitates to walk onto grass that has not been recently cut and therefore short, so I will have to walk onto the grass first, and then encourage him to come.

I have taught him to pee on command, so fortunately I don't have to wait long.
