Yesterday(3/4/12) her bad behavior hit its Zenith.

Careful on how much water you put in it. Spitfire is a water addict and would have emptied it as a puppy then realized a few hours later the mistake. I still let him out 'one more time' before bed as he does love his water.
 
Before this bottle we tried a few different containers to hold her water that wasn't to easy for her to turn it over. She likes to entertain her self by smacking her water and food dish. A puppy portion of kibble may be small but they sure do spread all over the kitchen floor. The water container that works best so far is a small glass with a thick heavy bottom (like a high ball glass but smaller) It holds 8 OZ. She will finish that and a little more each day.
 
Who is training who? Certainly you can't complain about her behavior! At 11 weeks old, it's the best she can do. How could kibble be on the kitchen floor if she is fed in her crate, quiet and focused? Food is not a toy.

I can not imagine what you thought would be any different if you left the crate open all night.....no, wait, bungeed the door open so she could be sure to take care of business any where she wanted... any time she wanted.

Please sign up for a puppy kindergarten class, I think you need it, and your puppy will be much happier if you know what you are doing.

I don't mean to sound harsh, but where does common sense begin??
 
I would continue to crate her overnight and any other time you leave her alone.

Not only will it keep her safe and your kitchen clean, but it will help with potty training. Dogs don't like to pee/poop where they sleep or eat, so she will most likely not make in her crate. Just remember to take her out every 3-4 hours to potty. She is only and 11 weeks and probably can't hold it much longer than that. As well as anytime she eats or drinks a lot of water.

I also wouldn't leave water in her crate overnight. If she drinks a lot of water, she will not be able to hold it all night and might have an accident in her crate.

When my dog was a puppy, I picked up her water bowl at 9pm.

I also would not leave food out all day for her. Feed her 2 or 3x a day. Give her 15 minutes to eat. Whatever she doesn't eat gets picked and she'll have to wait for her next meal. This way she won't have any food to play with and will learn to eat her food within a few minutes.
