You Want to Herd THAT?!?

I don't know if it's herding or playing, but it's adorable and gross at the same time...

Tonight, I allowed Jasmine to stay outside with me while I cleaned up poop. She started out behaving herself while I raked everything into a pile (I have a townhouse and an itty-bitty back yard, I just keep cedar in the back yard since it keeps the smell down and is easy to replace). However, when I got the shovel, all hell broke loose. I'm trying to scoop the pile up and she's tearing around, running circles around me, barking at the pile of poop when she corners around to it. After a few circles and me putting the shovel down to get her calm, she just stood there, "look at mom, look at pile, look at mom, look at pile". I got the hint. I told her to go sit down by the steps. It lasted 2 seconds. Second time around, she's hopping up and down on her front feet, barking at one piece of poop. She went inside when she started rolling it toward the bucket with her nose... What the heck is she doing? Do I get her tested for herding instinct, or brain damage. Lol.

Jasmine was just trying to live up to the sheltie reputation of their drive to herd anything! LOL Silly girl...that is really too funny!

I have one that goes after the pooper scooper. She chases after it when we take it out to clean up. With 2 dogs there is a lot of poop!!!
