Zak not in a hurry to eat

Not so much that I want him to eat faster as in fast but just want him to not take a bite and sit down. I emailed my breeder and it is most likely because he ate with the siblings and had food out most of the time. He will adapt.

Saying this will get the dog to eat "faster" is a bit misleading in a way. The intent is not to teach the dog to eat in 30 seconds or less, just to eat in a reasonable period of time. If you look through the forum, it's been discussed that allowing Shelties to pick at their food throughout the day is actually less beneficial than limiting meals to 20 minutes.

Please let us know what your breeder suggests since that information could help someone else with a similar problem in the future. Having multiple methods to approach an issue is beneficial.
