Hi Crystal...no problem about asking re posting...I'm not the most computer literate myself and can sympathize! All you do is click on the topic heading on the main page that you want to start in, for instance Off Course, Breeding etc. Once you bring up the topic you'll see a box on top left labeled "New Post." Click on that and you're all set.

I don't think there is a problem with asking Forum members to let you know know if they know of a dog. We have so many people from all over that you might luck out. Members can also "private message" you through the forum if they don't want to post publicly. Good luck!

I suppose that whether it is an ad or not depends upon how you word your request.
To start a new post, click on "sheltie forums" link in the top left of the page, select the topic you want to post within (off course, rescue, etc) and there is a link in the left hand side of the column just above a blue header that is for "new thread." You can start your own asking for referral sources for adopting/rescuing a sheltie in your area. If you're not sure of the appropriateness of the thread topic, ask Kelly or Ann first.
