Well the last 6 days of 97+ F and 65+ humidity has finally caused Ember and Justice to start blowing their coats. So everyone at the gathering will get to met my naked dogs. :lol: Diva is at least growing coat sort of.

I was hoping Ember would still have her massive coat so you all could see what a puff ball she is but OTOH she will be much more comfortable. :smile2:
 
Oh not to worry,at least they will be comfortable right!!

I know we will see all stages of coat growth in this huge pack of dogs that are attending. Anything from new puppy coats,to post whelp coats.

Can't wait!!!!
 
Just touching base with everyone!

I did want to confirm,that anyone coming that has a canopy,we will definately welcome the added shelter. We have moved the location for setup,instead of having at far end of yard,we have decided to utilize the roof overhang from the one building that is at the other end of yard.

We are going to put a temporary plywood flooring,to cover the sand,and I have a nice 9x12 outdoor rug to place over the plywood.

The rest of that area will be covered in pine needles,for coverage.Those will be delivered next week as well.

SheepofBlue..if you are bringing your camper,there really is no need to pull into other driveway,you can certainly use the yard in front,it will be plenty big enough.

We are asking everyone,to park out front,using both the driveway & side yards. Also everyone is to enter onto sunporch thru the glass door. In preveious years,everyone has used a far gate to enter the yard.

The reason I am doing this is because we have double the amount of dogs..and seeing the cluster of dogs in front of the gate while people are coming & going.,makes me nervous. I do not need dogs scooting out of a gate unnoticed.

All gates will be locked to prevent you from using them.

All entry & exits will be thru sunporch~

All dogs,please have leashes on when you get here,for intros to dogs that have arrived prior to you.

As in last year,all the food will be in the house,as I really do not want to be walking back & forth to tote food & to put it away.

Coolers will be left out under the canopy for easy access.

I am asking please let Earnhardt come to you please,and he will make his rounds to everyone. I know everyone that has not met him,will be overwhelmed by his size,he really is gentle.
I ask that you do not touch his head please,until he is comfy with you. He is very well mannered,he will not jump on anyone,he knows better.

He will make appearances outside,but will most likely be spending a good share of the day inside. I know Sca's dad & Earnie got along famously last year & first year..Earnie made a lier out of me...but I do not want him overheated & overwhelmed.

Furniture has been moved from one living room,allowing alot of room for crates or rest places for pups.I want everyone to please feel at home here. There is nothing in this house that a pup can hurt.

The cats will be sequestered to the bedroom for the day,so no worries of kitties wandering about.

We are so looking forward to everyone coming,travel safely. If you are lost when you get into Cheraw...PLEASE call us,and we will escort you here. And Chris that means you to. We will gladly take you to the park.

We are a good 15 miles out of town of Cheraw,and very rural. (chicken farm rural).

I am unsure of what I will be driving since my knee is still recovering. If I take the motorhome I can bring a canopy (car will be full)

Spitfire says put the saddles out as he is challenging Newton to a Earnhardt race, best of three.

Sca says PLEASE don't eat my brother Mr Earnhardt. He is a wild man but not a bad guy (and likely not tasty)
 
I am getting very excited to meet everyone. It will be a fun day! If my dogs are not having fun they will be penned or crated. I have told them I expect for them to be gracious guests and no lamp shades will be worn... :)

(If anyone would like Canine Good Citizen testing, let me know and I can bring my Evaluator's kit and testing supplies.)
 
I'll pack my 10 x 10 EZ-up canopy and can also bring a 9 x 9 mat as a ground cover for an outside crating area, ex-pens.

Both Snap and I will be happier if he has some down time in a crate during the day !
