A continuing Sca-ga

Sca now has a park outside his vacation home. I drop him off this morning and almost immediately the neighbor asks if she can open the gate. He zips in and plays with his pal Rascal the long haired wiener dog. As I left he was up on their deck and had taken over

I've given up on frisbee and ball throwing. The boys just try and steal it from each other and I have to go chasing after it to retrieve and rethrow. Once one of them has it, the game is "keep away"

You described my two down to the letter. Fluffy only wants it because Smudge has it, and Smudge only wants it to show Fluffy he can take it any time he wants. :rolleyes2:

I think Sca is related to Smudge. He LOVES cheese and waits for a bit while I make lunch in the morning.

He did a great speed roll this morning for some cheese so I might need to swap to lower value treats so he doesn't think roll over always gets cheese.

This is about 2.5 hours away... http://www.mannersinmotion.com/ a fall herding class would be neat.

So
Sit : master
Look at me : good if I have food, bad if there is other dogs and things to play with
Down : excellent
Shake : excellent
Rocket off all the furniture :
Steal my shoes if they are on the floor : sadly a master
Roll Over : power roll demon
Frisbee : master
Ball herding : master
Going parrot : ultra master

He went on a bender last night and was zooming like a mad man. I have some bike tires in the living room now so his 'normal' lanes are clogged but he was in full couch zoom. I noticed this morning there is sheltie skid marks in the chair fabric  Guess he needs to stay off the furniture :rolleyes2:

Now I need to figure out a new trick.... we could work on his tunnel but that requires setup to do every night. Hmmm a good house trick...

Spoke to soon he has a new habit. He lays down and kind of rolls his hips and looks like "there now treat" I am sure he just does not want to have the treat leave his sight during the roll. His food concentration is WAY up lately despite my feeding him more.

They love their treats, don't they!
My mistake was giving him cheese when I made a sandwich. Cookies are good, meat pieces are better but cheeses almost rates a spin and does rate some sass. He is close to getting cut off from cheese like he was from the laser :(

McKinley knows he has to sit and take Cheese nicely, BUT ohhh can you see the super uber excitement in his entire body.

Cheese has an HUGE value on it.

I know what you mean about the obsessions. For Whisk its Bologna...he goes insane. The breeder made the mistake of giving him a small amount with a sandwich she was having, and now I don't even buy it...luckily I prefer Turkey.

For Reagan...its pop. If I open a can whether it be pepsi or coke he goes bonkers. Crazy Shelties...
