A formal Hi!

Welcome :smile2:
while we have seen Dazzle- we love pix so please keep them coming
thanks for giving her a home.
Callie is my rescue pup (9 yr)and Cranberry is my first sheltie puppy from a breeder. We had to take a little trip up Clemson way at the beginning of Oct to pick up Dixie from SheltieLuver. Dixie was supposed to be a show dog too but now is Cranberry's moving toy
Callie doesn't play with pups so we needed two pups to play together. Cran and Dixie will be a year near Thanksgiving. They have their own threads somewhere on here

Hi Welcome to the Forum.:smile2: I enjoyed reading your introduction and am another who firmly believes things happen for a reason, even if it does not seem obvious at the time. Looking forward to seeing some pics:yes:

Welcome and I so believe that things happen for a reason. Your family sounds wonderful and congrats on the adoption of Dazzle. Your Kennedy was definately a gift from above to you. Will look forward to seeing more pics.

Oh gosh, what a story about how you got Kennedy. I do believe in fate and things happening for a reason.

I believe firmly that God found me Cadbury and led me to him, I know he was the right dog for me and was there at the right time.

Good luck with Dazzle (Darcy) and some pictures please:biggrin2:

Well, I guess I should introduce myself properly. I'm Nicole, and I'm currently in school for Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University in S.C. My husband works and lives in Florida in our house. I am soooo close to being done with school, and then I will be in Florida as well. Meantime, we meet up in Charleston, SC every other weekend or so at my mom's place...which means a lot of traveling with our furry family.

Our babies include: 2 cats(Fish, who is in Clemson with me, and Oliver, who is in Florida with the H), Kennedy our blue merle sheltie puppy(~5 mo old), and....Dazzle! Our newly adopted senior girl. We also have temporary custody of Dixie, a beagle who belongs to my mother It's always an adventure in our household. I'm happy to have found this forum, and look forward to all the great advice.

A long story how we have our babies:

We recently lost the love of our lives, our blue merle sheltie boy, Austen, due to a tragic accident, and we miss him so very very much(he's my avatar pic). When we called out breeder to tell her the news, she had some awful news of her own. Her son had a terminal disease, and she needed to find a home for the puppy she had been planning to keep for breeding/show. He was a blue merle boy, one blue eye, one brown...just like our Austen(only the colors were reversed). She asked if we might be interested. We said that we 'might' be. Well when we went to meet him...it was instant love. And the crazy scary ironic thing about it was that the very day we lost Austen, our breeder had another meeting with someone to buy the puppy....but she decided she couldn't sell him. I really believe in the 'meant-to-be' in life, and I still can't believe how this all happened.

And then...I came across this forum while perusing the internet. I wasn't searching for anything in particular...and then came across the post that mention Dazzle. My H had emailed about her a few weeks previous, but he either got the email wrong or it had gone to spam. I had also sent an email, but hadn't heard anything. Based on our past experience with rescues...we pretty much thought she had been adopted...but I decided to post on the forum, and voila! people made magic happen, and now Dazzle is at her new home in FL. :smile2: Craziness!

Thanks again to everyone for their help and support!
-Nicole

Welcome aboard Nicole. We are glad you are here. I have 5.5 years old Cassie. We hope she will live a long life because we lost our first sheltie to cancer. :(
