Aggression?

Piper had a good coat of fur by 8 months and I was so disappointed when I heard he was going to blow his coat! Surprise surprise when it never happened! As Margi said every dog is different.
Finnie also didn’t but then he didn’t have much coat to begin with (although he is Piper’s 1/2 nephew...Piper’s brother is Finnie’s sire)

I am really hoping that Laddie is like your Piper because Laddie has the thickest coat at 9 months that I have ever had on a Sheltie so young and if he blows coat this fall my house will be carpeted in non-stop in sable fur!!!!!!!!:unsure:

I've noticed the dogs' fur tends to coursen up as they get older. For mine that tended to happen around 18mths. Gosh Deska was a giant fuzz ball at 18mths but that settled down to a lush coarse coat by 2yrs. Kismet is almost 18mths and I've noticed her coat has gotten fuller, but also coarsened a lot and changed colour.
 
Brodie has always had a thinner coat, much more so than litter mates. One of his brothers looks like a teddy bear, round, fluffy, full coated even as a baby. Brodie's coat is so soft, silky; he has undercoat and all but nothing poufy. There is a different texture around his backside. His biggest fur loss seems to be winter when his pants thin out drastically.

Deacon has a bit of a coarser coat but still silky. His is VERY fully, wavy. He looks like a little sausage made up of wavy whites, greys, blacks. Wondering what his fur loss will be like. Remember crimping? When his hair gets wet, it crimps up in places like how girls used to crimp their hair.
