BIG UPDATE!!!!!!!!
OY fripin gosh....
I just got an email from a lady,I a talking with her right now. This is her email to me~
I live in Franklin and at our recycle station they have a sign up that someone had found a Sheltie on Sanderstown rd..I dont know who has it but you may want to contact the Animal shelter here, perhaps they know who has the dog..The sign was still there yesterday when I went to the dump. I hope it is the dog you are looking for! (removed phone number)..if I can help you in some way, call me.. I am home most of the time..
She told me she has seen the big yellow poster in another location, and will go first thing in the morning to get the phone number off the poster, and will call e at work.
Lets keep our fingers crossed. It is a 35-40 mile radious that he ay have traveled, fro his last episode, but anything is possible with a sheltie, that is lost.
Everyone say a prayer tonite.
I agree with everyones suggestions but at this point its something that JANET needs to do, in the end its her dog and its up to her what her next move is to find angus. We can suggest the have a heart trap, canvasing the area with her other dogs, making phone calls, setting up lost and found pages, but in the end its Janet who knows the area and she needs to be out there looking for him. Im sure if one of my dogs was missing I would want michele out there helping but its so hard with limited information and the sheer distance to anyone in the area who actually doing something. Everyone on this forum is doing this search virtual and long distance, its obviously not working, as Angus slipped though the cracks once already. The need to have a point person in the area that can do the actual leg work, calling shelters is great but if you dont put a face to that phone call its going to get shuffled under paperwork and it did and look what happened. If people see actual people looking for a dog its more likly to make an impression. I know there is a missing Golden in my area, these people have been VERY visual and it makes the residents in the area look a bit more carefully.
I dont know I guess im just frustrated with the lack of actual physical searching going on. and like Michele said if it was myself id be out there moving mountains to find my dog, calling in sick from work or whatever it takes to get them back home with me!
GREAT NEWS!! I hope and pray this is Angus...if it is I can go pick him up if needed??? Angus can stay with me or whoever Janet wants until she returns.
Michele--I will try and find that women on here and send her my number. I am leaving out of town this Sunday for a week but will be around until then.
