Angus is missing

if i could drive down to help you find angus i would be there in second, except for me it would be a 2 day drive and i don't know how much help i'd be. please think positively and imagine him home safe and sound and it will happen. Like all have said angus is in my prayers tonight.

Remember to think like a dog when you are posting information along the trek between the two houses. The route we humans would take is NOT the way a scared pup would take.

Keep us posted........you are in our prayers.

This is an excellent point, I had not though about it this way!

I don't know...and now Amber is not returning my phone calls.

I feel sick.

I went to Canton today and drove around....put up a few posters but the problem is I'm sure they're not still up as there was a huge thunderstorm AGAIN rolling in as I left. We've had big hard rains every day so far.

To make matters even worse I received an email this morning from Tammy H, Willow aka Effie's mom. She says that Willow was hit by a car and killed this morning. She had apparently been allowing Willow free roam around their house (lots of acreage ~1 mile away from the nearest road) because she "always stayed nearby."

She had PROMISED me on adoption that she had a fenced yard.

Willow aka Effie is Angus's and Ember's sister.

I'm just sick.

OMG Janet. I am in tears for you. I don't know what to say ,its just getting worse.:( Sending more prayers for some good news concerning Angus soon.

I know we just talked on the phone. And I can feel the desperation & sadness in your voice. So as we hung up we were both crying. My heart goes out to you.So saddened to hear the news of Willow.

I cannt imagine them not ansering your calls, but as you & I talked about,I feel strongly that they were not prepared properly. And now,Angus is lost.

We have to remain positive. It is a very good posibility, someone has taken him in.I pray that he is safe.We have to really be positive & pray.I wished we lived closer,in times like this.
I will be in touch.

Oh no! Janet....I am so sorry that this is all happening to you at once. How awful.

Can you call the local school bus company for that area? Ask them if you can put a flyer in their buses. That is what they do up here. Kids see everything! Possibly offer an iPod or something that would be intrigueing to the kids, as a reward.

Also...how about a have a heart trap in the area? That is the humane traps that the shelters use. Maybe you can borrow one from a local shelter. I think Judy (sunchaser) mentioned in my thread about Ruffles that you can put something yummy in their. He is bound to be hungry.

Also...findtoto.com. They call houses in a circumference from where he was lost. A good friend of ours found their dog this way.

Local radio station.....call them and ask them to put a news bulletin out.

Local paper....place an ad with his picture.

You also are checking craigslist, daily, right? Someone could have found him and could be selling him to make a quick buck. And craigslist has a lost and found section as well.

Good luck. I am praying for you.

Danielle

I don't know why things like this always seem to happen in bunches, Janet, but they do, and it's dreadful. My heart goes out to you ... so much pain, it's just not fair. I am praying for you, your family and for Angus. He IS out there somewhere, and you WILL find him. He is making his way back to you, I am sure.

Years ago, a Sheltie was lost in the next town from us. There was a huge search but he wasn't found. Two YEARS later he appeared in the same town, and was returned to his family, a little thin, but fine. He'd survived two Connecticut winters and heaven knows what else. The story made all the papers; no one could believe it. Miracles do happen. We must believe.

Sending good thoughts and hugs your way.
