Angus is missing

AKC has a program called CAR. It is their Lost-and-Found Option, which for an additional $12, owners receive a collar tag with the dog’s AKC registration number and lifetime enrollment with AKC Companion Animal Recovery. I am not sure what more it does than that. Janet would have had to enroll Angus in this program. Hopefully he is microchipped, because then they can contact local veterinarians (which I can do for you guys) and let them know that the dog is missing and ask them to scan any new shelties that come into the clinic.
 
If someone can PM me the # of the local animal shelters and Janet's info, I don't mind making a daily phone call to see if Angus was turned in.

I know all the shelters in the New England area (and I would hope the whole country) scan every stray dog/cat, etc. brought in. We use universal scanners so no matter which chip has been injected, the number pops up.

I had an email from Amber this evening, she has her neighbors looking, has contacted the local shelters, and has posted fliers. I have also contacted the local shelters and have posted on Lost Pets WNC and Craigslist Asheville. The Craigs list should have been as lost dog..not dog for sale but I hadn't ever used Craigslist before so I may have messed up.

Michele- Forgot to tell you...I googled Craigslist and lost dog Angus and it came up. I had a hard time finding it myself and then did a search.
 
Is there anything else I can do? I've been posting on FB and people have said they'll keep a look out and spread the word. Hopefully someone spots him!
